Background: One of the most important aspects of high-quality healthcare is patient safety and developing a patient safety culture was crucial to ensuring healthcare quality. Establishing a patient safety culture is becoming increasingly important as medical organizations work to improve the quality of care they provide. It is necessary for newly graduated nurses with less work experience and teaming abilities to enhance their interpersonal and collaborative abilities in order to advance the patient safety culture. Aim: To assess patient safety culture among newly graduate nurses at Main Mansura University Hospital. Methods: A descriptive and cross-sectional design was used in this study and the convenient sample was used that conducted on 132 newly graduated nurses working in all departments at Main Mansoura University Hospital by using The Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture (HSPSC). Results: More than half of newly graduated nurses (70.5%) was negatively perceptions of patient safety culture. There was no statistically significant relation between newly graduate nurses’ perceptions of patient safety culture related to their personal characteristics in all variables except in gender was highly statistically significant. Conclusions: This study concluded that the patient safety culture was negatively perceptions by the newly graduated nurses at Main Mansoura University Hospital. Recommendation: Improving patient safety culture, the nursing managers and healthcare organizations should discussion and provide additional training with the newly graduated nurses to changes in strategies to improve the quality of care and promote safe care.
